The guilds will start as an organisation at the begining of the server reset
MrSpoon will resume with this faction in a day or two time. Untill then I place cypranex in charge of the dealings so contact him with issues please.

The Guilds Description

The guilds is not so much a faction but more a collection of guilds each full of skilled craftsmen who are prepared to work on any project that is put before them whether it be setting up booby-traps or designing and constructing grand imperial palaces or even just leveling out a mountain you need a job doing? We ll do it if the price is right!

The guilds has a republic layout in the fact that guild leaders will meet regularly to discuss issues within the organisation. You are also free to belong to another faction too but you must retain neutrality in your business with people e.g not discriminating someone because they are a pirate. First successful application for each guild will become the leader of that guild.

Why join us

We are a faction set up to ensure a secure environment from where tradesmen can be easily contacted by potential employers and can socialise with other craftsmen. Unlike other factions we offer our members much more freedom as to how they play the game. Also as being a neutral nation you are not affected by global wars (unless of course you are hired as a mercenary) and can there for continue your work in relative peace. Also being part of a community you will have the support and help you need aswell as being more protected than if you were to go it alone as a vagabond. Also members do not have to be restricted to joining one guild (I myself am part of two )

You may think being a neutral faction that we do not fight but you are wrong. There is nothing to stop you as a member raiding or becoming a hired assassin!

The Guilds Rules

The idea of the guilds is to allow our members lots of freedom however there are some rules that must be obeyed in order to ensure co-operation between members. All cases of rules being broken or disagreements occurring the matters shall be settled in court if the involved are unable to settle their issues alone.

The Black Mark system

The black mark system is a simple way of keeping track on those who break the law. You have a maximum of 3 black marks and if you go over the limit you will be faced with immediate expulsion from the guilds. The amount of black marks you receive depends on the seriousness of your crime.

1. No Killing fellow Members unless it was a case of self defence. If this is the case then the victim and the accused would be expected to attend a hearing in the courthouse to settle the facts of the incident. In the case of a thief being asked by a client to kill a fellow guild member the thief would be expected to refuse this contract. Maximum punishment for being found guilty of unprovoked murder would be two black marks on your name, expulsion from the guilds or in some cases the death sentence via the tnt cannon .

2. No stealing from fellow members We are an organisation that relies very much on trust and co-operation so the action of betraying anthers trust can be serious. Maximum punishment for being found guilty of stealing is two black marks on your name and a fine (varries depending on seriousness of case).

3. Chefs and gatherers must sell produce to merchant guild members This law is of course only applicable if there are merchants to sell to otherwise gatherers and chefs may sell to any buyer should there be no merchants or if a merchant cannot afford to buy the produce. In the case of this law being broken those involved would also be expected to attend a hearing. Maximum punishment for this crime is confiscation of produce, a black mark against your name and a 100 money fine.

4. Obey your guild leaders. They are at a higher rank than you so therefore have the authority to lead you. If you wish to complain about a guild leaders actions contact me MrSpoon on the matter. Maximum Punishment is a black mark against your name on each serious offence.

5. Have fun! This is a game and if you find you arn't having fun playing it the consequences can be VERY SERIOUS. All those who are unable to have fun will face the risk of getting a ride on the tnt cannon

Architectural/Carpenter Guild : This guild is in charge of any building projects ranging from bridges to fortresses and can build with whatever materials you wish (although some may specialise in a certain material e.g stone)
Naval/Carpenter Guild : Here are the builders who specialise in the field of naval structures made out of mostly wood but can also work with other materials to create great vessels.
Gatherers Guild : These guys are excellent at collecting the valuable resources that the earth beneath us and around us provides. Wood, coal, diamonds, you name it they ll gather it.
Merchants Guild : Members of this guild are keen traders who know the ins and outs of the servers economy. They are always happy to do business with buyers or sellers
Thieves Guild : These master criminals will undertake the most out terrible crimes you could instruct them to do.
Engineers Guild : These workers are specialised in the more tricky aspects of the game like laying complicated traps or electrical systems.
Chefs Guild : This guild is for those who favour the creation of tasty delights to keep you healthy throughout your time on the server.

Why you want to join that guild : If you have seen the interior of my treehouse you may know why. I like using wood as a building material and I find that it is versatile and rather fun to use.
Previous minecraft experience : I've owned Minecraft for about 4-5 months now, and I have played on this server since... I want to say the 12th of December, but I'm not sure.

Yeah it may be possible but the only problem is the guilds is a separate organisation but I think there may be a way to have access to our chat channel and the pirates (or whoever's your faction is). As-long as your guild remains neutral in its business dealings (i.e doesnt refuse to work for some one because they are a pirate) then sure I am happy with dual membership.

I feel insulted. Does no one trust me enough to become a fellow thief with me?

I'm sure some of my pirates would like to join the Thieves Guild. In fact I'll probably encourage all my pirates to join guilds. If everyone got together to make a guild system, then things would run a lot smoothly and we could make the server more civilized beyond what it is. If there were a lot of people working, selling their services and goods, it makes an economy. People could barter or purchase goods, rather than have to go and get things themselves. It would certainly be interesting to see it work if it does.

Though with the restrictions on the size of the server someone could easily monopolize certain resources like dyes or shrooms or what have you.

LOL sure they can... because there is no way I can just walk outside and get a mushroom or kill a squid...

Certain resources will run out over time, like flowers for example, because you can't regrow them once they are taken and used up. But if your color of choice is black then yeah, no worries.

This application is only valid if you can be in a guild and a kingdom at the same time, if not than this application is invalid.

Why you want to join that guild : Because I think I am pretty good at making buildings that look good and work well, I think that is pretty important to structure of a kingdom or a town. After the reset I think that it would be nice to be able to do this, I will specialize in patterned rugs, towers, and walls.
Previous minecraft experience : I have been experimenting in single player with decoration and defense of a castle, and I have been playing on this server for a month or so.

How far in Redstone knowledge do you need to be an Engineer? Not sure if there would be many willing to do it for people. I find it quite fun.

I would presume that willingness to innovate would be more important than raw knowledge, at least for starting out.

Why would you like to join that guild: I enjoy solving Redstone wire to create things for others needs. I find it very enjoyable.

Previous minecraft experience: I have joined many server's and had good history, I've also been playing Minecraft for quite some time. Redstone wise, although I may not be able to make a CPU or Pacman with Redstone, I can create and learn things such as 1 switch for 50 doors and just basic Redstone knowledge. I am willing to learn if someone needs are of quite the quality!
