Yeah true, they have to make money somehow - otherwise there literally is no point coming to Australia.
The opposite of that, bands should be aiming to get out of Australia otherwise they make about $10 for an hour of playing, and like 1 hour of getting down there and setting up lol. -.-

The band really changes the price, but usually it varies from the locals $5-$10 entry to $10-$30 for interstate. Usually you'll see a free, $8 gig, or $12 gig. Lol

Metal scene I swear is like dead over here, we get all the emo fags. -.-

theres always been a shitload of metalcore/hardcore type stuff coming out of Australia and it seems like thats fallen out of favor now lol. You guys got psycroptic though, and there some good bands from new zealand which i dont think is to far away.

If you get a bunch of 12-13 year old kids together to strum a few chords, claim it as metal, and dress up like blackened glam fags, they'll make you a lot of money of here. It's ridiculous. When the Metalheads play, no one seems to be interested- tho we had some form of breaks in our music, and each time core kids would show up. They sound like ass, they're pussy weak, dam winging kids. They can't even do their own screams right, who'd want to scream anyway, screaming is for girls. Growling is for men.

Man hate them kids so much. -.-

No joke, if we decided to parody some metalcore and dumb-down our music, we'd probably do extremely well down here. Thing is, we hate Adelaide, so we're giving it the finger and trying to organize gigs interstate.

haha i'd get used to that, its always some waterdowned form of metal that is the most popular. It changes every few years, if you are lucky it'll be something you actualy like lol. right now it seems like brutal death suffocation clones seem to be in but i could list to that shit all day haha. i remember when i was in middle school and the first part of high school its was nu-metal, then came metalcore, then there was screamo in there somewhere, then it was deathcore/grindcore. then before that you had your hair metal (which is still amusing to me) then early 90s brought all that shitty grunge. i'm sure its the same for every other genre you just kinda get used to it lol. the thing that always pisses me off is when someone says they listen to deathmetal and its like disturbed or something >.<
