Now if they did the same but for every 12 bar blues song >.<, No offence to my School Music teacher, but after strumming the same chords for hours it gets more than lame.

Metal is not Mindless, it takes many inspirations from Genre's like Jazz, Blues, and Rock.


Although it's not Tech Death like CC, you may like SYL? Industrial/Death/Thrash Extreme Metal.

I thought high on fire was fairly popular, you ever listen to spiritual beggars? they play a style similar to this, it's a little more melodic but you should check them out.

HoF is the most well-known stoner/doom band next to Sleep, Kyuss and Electric Wizard but I still wouldn't consider them well-known in a broader sense. :p

Dude, Sleep is like the quintessential stoner metal band...

As far as albums, definitely check out Holy Mountain and then Dopesmoker. Their earlier stuff is way more doomy and dissonant, though.

i never could get much into Meshuggah myself but alot of people seem to really like them. I was thinking since you posted up 2 videos of tech death bands (well i wouldnt call Meshuggah tech death but everyone else does ) i figured i would share some of my favorite tech death bands with you. If you've never heard any of these bands i may have just made your day/week/month/year.

Obscura - Anticosmic Overload, this is off my favorite album of all time. it gets some weird ambient noise towards the end that isnt supposed to be there but there was no better video


Gorod - Disavow Your God, these magnificence French bastards created one hell of an album


Decrepit Birth - The Resonance, I wanted to find a song off of the Diminishing Between Worlds album since i thought it was way better, but apparently sony thinks it owns the label that album was on, which they don't, so there are no youtube videos i can post from that album.

Thats awesome, thanks for the recommendation, I especially like Obscura and Gorod. Obscura reminding me a bit of Death and Gorod slightly like Corpse. Wicked! I shall keep a look out for the albums.

lol yeah obscura is like death, but death is one of my favorite bands so im down with that lol. if you get an album from them get cosmogenesis, the first one isnt nearly as good.
