Seed Generator

I thought you guys may be interested in this. Entering seeds in map generation allows you to "control" how your map is generated.

I used "tundra" to make my new map. Nice and snowy. Reminds me of the good ol' alpha days...

Well, too bad tundra doesn't give me snow, and l33t doesn't give me floating islands.... -.-

Huh. Both of those gave me what they said it was. The spawn point changes though, just keep trying.

I noticed the spawn change, but even when I travel around I don't find floating islands nor snow.


What co-ords do you see them on your worlds?

SeedfortheWorldGenerator is a beautiful mix . . . it has high mountains and valleys composed of sand and grass. Forests dot the land scape

404 - hit gravel nearby spawn, opens hole down into 0 y.
I saw that one before it was posted in general chat.

Also type in 123, i got a nice snowy landscape.

I wonder how these actually work...


Even more-so I wonder how to get old Minecraft saves and find what seed they use.
