Update- 2/20/2011 chivers706 edition

So Like I said i will keep updating this with what i know and answer some of the questions from the last topic.

I want to go out and say that i have been missing for like three days so i dont have alot to report on.... it looks like this server is going down because of a few bad apples. I intend to fix this in upcoming week. The reason i cant do it now is because i have a lot of work to do still.

To anwser some of your questions:

I will add some recipes to craftbook..... they are going to be ICE and grass i might add spounges (very hard) and leafs (very easy) the reason i might add leafs is people can design there landscape as well and make it look awesome. Im not going to add any neither items if we are going to open that world up. I want you to fight for them
items.... also i want you to trade as well.

Raijouta - I dont know what your talking about with the whole distance reduction thing all i know is there is some flaws it in right now (last time i saw it should be fixed) like when you go to the nether with the command or portal you go to the coords were you were standing in the world. So this might be above lava.. But last i heard they fixed the portals so if you go though a portal it spawns one in the nether. I havent tested it yet but when i do i will let you know

Warthog yes the nether was fixed by a server client called bukkit.... i tried to sum it up for you----because your a warthog and you cant retain information for long.... but you do wear shades so your cooler than all the other warthogs

ballnazor- Yes that will be the point... i think it would be awesome to establish a group down there called the (brotherhood of magma) for example and they are in control. As in the whole nether belongs to them and if you are down there and they see you they can kill you on sight..... but they really never come up toe the normal world

Will sponges actually suck up water? I will give you 100$ in cash if you implement that

sponges already suck up water. To be honest I have 2 sponges in a chest of mine

If you gave the server $100 i would personally right you a letter to say thank you....mail it.... and then i would give you 1,000,000,000 sponges

i would donate money, i might have to mail the money. cant send it through bank ya know since parents would kind of disagree.

If you wanted to mail the money i dont think soto would have a problem with it other than the fact that you would then know one of our addresses..... then again i dont think soto would care because this is the internet and you could know everythign about someone. I would PM him and ask but i dont think he would care if you mailed him money....but yea i dont know

I mean like how in single player there's distance reduction, meaning every block you travel in the Nether is like 10 blocks in the normal world. I'm not sure exactly how much there is though, but I was wondering if this effect was preserved in Bukkit's Nether implementation.

I do not know honestly so i cant tell you....... but if there is a border and it causes a problem..... I don know what would be done....

Could you add the hell blocks? I want infinite fire!

When the server updates to Bukkit you'll be able to go to the Nether and get them yourself.

Chivers, Bukkit is the only server plugin mod out. All current mods use it. I think we're using hmod because our mods only work for it?

They're implemtning multi-world capability; that is, the ability to have more than one world on our server. So we could have a nether world, our normal one, and another one (creative?)

Yea well from what i read they can only have 2 other worlds right now..... also yes we are running hmod
