Igorian Vassalage
Do you want to have protection but have your own city? Do you want you have your own rules but not have to worry about defense ALL the time? Well with the Igorian vassal system that can be done! You can have your own kingdom, but you get the protection of a large official kingdom and all other Igorian vassal towns! It works like this: you as a small town could not take on for example the legionaries or pirates if they wanted to attack, but if you become a vassal then they would have to fight you, the Igorians, and all the other Igorian vassals! It is like a large alliance system with the Igorians at it's head, the only things you must abide by are:
1. Inspections every once and a while (production and progress, for your own sake so we can help you)
2. Your tax level must be the same as le Royaume (the kingdom)
3. You must choose a tythe (or donation) to send periodically to the kingdom (5 iron swords, 2 bows and some arrows, or several sets of leather armor) these will be sent when the tythe is called, usually once every week at max.
With many vassals, we can become very strong indeed, you may break vassalage at any time, though peaceful terms are required on the split, and for two days afterward.
if you wish to become a vassal, sign up here!

Towny protection (without its bugs) would make looting the smaller cities impossible, so fear of attack is rarely an issue. What advantages does this system bring? It sounds like towns have to pay quite a bit with only "Igorians will fight with you" as a reward.

They can accomplish their own ends because all the vassal mayors will form a council, if they are in favor of doing something then it will be done, due to popular vote.

"Doing something"? Like what?
I'm not arguing against the system - I think it's a great idea and have been pushing it for a while now - but I just don't understand what long term benefit there is to the system for smaller towns.

Your questions aren't helping your faction's new racket any.
