Boys we have a traitor!
There have been some reports of transparent textures and hacking going on.
But seriously someone has been finding COMPLETELY surrounded blocks.
We're looking into it.
You don't have to come and confess

Blocks which are covered on all 6 sides (its a cube) are not rendered, therefore cannot be found using a transparent texture pack. I do however know 2 people admittedly used transparent texture packs in 2.0.Sevyn wrote:There have been some reports of transparent textures and hacking going on.

Just a suggestion:
Chunk errors actually help people mine... Look down into it and they can dig straight down and fine that nice batch of diamonds at the bottom of the map.

Re: Boys we have a traitor!
I have some ideas of people using texture packs. I had a situation in which I had two chests hidden in my house, one with blocks surrounding the entire thing and one with blocks everywhere on it but the top. I had forgotten to fill it in after I used it. "Somebody" came in and raided my house, and they found the one with no blocks on top and but not the other. They were two blocks apart. Both were at least 20 blocks underground. I don't see any way they could have found it without a texture packs. I'm not saying their name because I don't want to cause trouble. If anyone IMPORTANT TO THIS THREAD wants to know, PM me. Also, don't spam me for causing trouble, because that happens to me almost every time I post on the forums.

Re: Boys we have a traitor!
It's happened to me before. I've had people dig straight down into my old base, which would be impossible without using trans texture packs.
You just have to deal with it and have a couple dummy chests, and keep your real loot somewhere no one would guess (surrounded on all sides of course).

I used to hide my real chests underneath dummy chests. It was fun.
