I was waiting for someone to do this. We should get Adrian to incorporate something like this underground in the Spawn.
I believe you can hear music for 48 blocks.

I think that I might have the Wizards have access to a chime...... but that's a big maybe. Considering how many people will be in the city, and how many basements there will be, I'm running out of underground real estate.
But yeah, it can't be a constant thing, it'll have to be something that the Wizards use every once in a while. That's about as good as I can do. I really know nothing about music though, so if someone wants to design a cool song that can fit within a small space, I'd love to hear it.

I could design a song, yet I'm still finding decent ways to even out the redstone for it to work. And than You'll need a lot of room to actually create it. >.<

Hehe just found this:
To bad Redstone relies on your computer rather than relying on itself in-game.

That. Was. Epic. Notch should add the ability to program the blocks to have multiple tones play at the same time from the same block. That would make it much easier.

Here's a little Pirates of the Caribbean which I made. It's not very good, but I enjoy it.

So epic.
I wish I had the patience and skills to make bad ass music with the note blocks.

This shouldn't be hard as much as it's time consuming.
Step 1: Find a melody.

All I want is the first two lines of You Are a Pirate in my base If I could get that in there, that would be sweet.

Let me rephrase that.
Step 1: Find the sheet music of a melody.

So to say, stacking a Note Block on another note Block creates the same instrument yet you are able to tune it differently creating 'Chord' blocks? I like that.
