Chivers....

Minding my own business with a friend in our base. Our base is well hidden to avoid conflict. Chivers teleports in and looks around. Within 10 minutes Darwin is rummaging through our chest.

What gives?

Did he take anything? I rummage through player's chests to see how their doing

Chivers pops up and within 10 minutes a non-mod is in our remote base. After he respawned, he was on Team Speak talking about us "noobs" and how we didn't know he was coming back for us.

What bothers me is that it looks like Chivers gave away our location. One hell of a coincidence if not.

I do not know who did this, but my money is on Darwin. Only two people knew where this base was- chivers and him. The former is a mod, the latter an angry man who has TNT.

Armed robbery is something I have come to expect, but griefing a base with TNT? That's too far.

Ok first off you can stop blaming chivers and blame your friend 0ver for me finding it. I was out looking for someone when I found him walking so I followed. Unfortunately I lost him and overshot your base by 500 blocks. After giving up and returning I found a sapling planted in a field. I then presumed to dig around because a planted sapling can only mean someone was there before. Lastly when I got down there you killed me so really I don't see the problem. When I returned everything was gone. I assumed you had left but having walked all that way I looked around for your chests. I found nothing so I logged for the night. Now I admit I was a little aggressive when looking for chest but really guys. This is a temp server and you had abandoned the base so stop crying and play the game. BTW if you can't replace the few blocks I removed I will gladly come back and do it for you.

P.S.
I never used TNT. A creeper bombed at the entrance and i dug up the gravel with a shovel.

I really don't see someone doing that much damage just to find a chest.
I would expect it to be orderly and methodical.

I am getting really tired of "This is just a temp server". That is not an excuse for griefing.

As I said before I was looking for chests with a shovel so if you really can't fix your place up ask me and I will come and do it.

Of course it makes sense that they would hide their chest underneath gravel. It takes absolutely no effort and does not take a lot of work to fix or set up.

The fact of how I look for chest and its effectiveness is not the thing we are taking about here. There was purpose to what I was doing and I am even willing to help you fix it. So unless this is somehow breaking the rules stop posting. Also they beet me fair and square and they came out ahead so I am not going to hold a grudge, are you?

lol i was killed by some1 and lost diamond sword boots, and 12 diamonds, by someone, i came back and he killed me again, i figured just move on, its not like im going to go after one guy just because he looted me. if anything i blame my self for not being as prepared, after being killed the second time i went to start all over again and build my equips again, survival is the point of the game, why hold grudges? i hate when people get killed they whine and say things like "watch in the next server you ********"

I would hide my chests under gravel if it was far down in a cave. The think is gravel naturally is there so it would make sense to hide it under it so it looks like you didn't dig through it.

I would hide my chest under a piece of smoothstone, who the hell digs trough smoothstone looking for a chest? They'd be there all day.

Id hide my chest underneath a dungeon. who would ever expect that

I used to make my floors out of furnaces and store everything in them. Then notch went an added a funny texture for the top of the chest T_T

I noticed a correlation, so I looked into it.
