My Minecraft doesn't like any texture pack with any resolution higher then 32*32. Can anyone tell me why?

your gonna need the minecraft hd patcher (http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=25&t=46173)

This basically fixes up your client so it can cope with the higher resolutions. Its been a while since I ve used it but I think it is still pretty much the same and I remember it being very user friendly and easy to understand.
