Mod installation help

Hello, I tried installing ModLoader and it didn't work. I got a black screen or stuck on done loading.
I deleted some files in Meta-Inf and replaced some class files.

I did repack it into a JAR file afterwards.

Same thing happened with me, I even used a clean Minecraft (Deleting and re-installing) even re-downloaded it and still... nothing.

Delete the META folder and don't extract / compress the *.jar file- "Open with" -> "WinRar" (or an equivilent).

Usually works for me. :s

Did that, didn't work. =C

I use 7zip and Allzip.

Yes

You guys probably have an outdated version of mod loader, you need to re-download it again when a new minecraft update comes out.

It said Mod loader was version Beta 1.201

If you want i can send you my .minecraft file that has modloader in it. It works awesome if you want i can add the plugin/mod i have on it for single player which is GUNs. You can have all kinds of guns and what not and it is alot of fun. And its not easy to make it so it adds a layer to the game. When i play single player i play on my own server becuase i like to have some plugins like hunger and guns..... craftbook, and a whole bunch more. Its fun that way. If you want it though i wll post it later if i get any repllies

I would love a preloaded minecaft.jar. Do you have a minimap mod? I'd infinitely prefer that over SDK's gun mod.

For some reason i cannot upload it but if you PM me your email i will email it to you. Also I added a minimap to it for you. HAHA i know it sucks for some reason when im uploading it ... my router quits on me and i have to reset it so yea or if you want i can tell you step by step to do it but this would just be easier

if you do not then it will not work because minecraft will update and you will

Yeah that was the old version the new version is Beta 1.202 i believe

The exe already had Zan's Map mod installed.

Couldn't get humans plus to work with it tho. :C

That would mean some of those mods don't work together, it is probably HumansPlus not working with zans minimap.

I thought Modloader stopped them from conflicting

only some mods, some topics are new and not yet added to the modloader list, maybe not though but I don't see any other reason as to why the mods won't work together.

did you remove the META folder?

Yes META came removed with the exe.

Zan's Mod works fine, but I get an error when trying to run the game when both mods are installed. (I can try again and post the message if necessary)

Oh I just read you need Spawnlist mod.
